CN Diesel Data Books

LPD Publishing has embarked on a program of reproducing the CN Diesel Data Books of the 1950's, 60's 70's and 80's. While the originals were quite often difficult to read and the  dimensions many times not readable, these new books by LPD have been  typeset for the data and the locomotive drawings AutoCad generated from the files of LPD.

These books show the major dimensional data for each sub-class of diesel locomotive  purchased and subsequently operated by Canadian National, CN Rail and CN North America in Canada and the United States over that period.

With the Illinois Central joining the CN family, even more data becomes available for inclusion in the Rail Canada and Rail America series of data books on diesel locomotives operated in North America.

At least initially, these books will be presented in a landscape mode on 8½" x 14" paper and be produced on high quality acid free paper that will not Yellow or go brittle over time.

This series is part of LPD Publishing's commitment to preserving the railway heritage of North America. By choosing to present these books in a spiral bound format, LPD is aware that we leave these books open the copying by clubs and individuals that have no regard for the man-hours or production costs incurred in putting these books in the hands of rail fans and modelers.

Upon request, LPD will produce a custom master set, so that a club or rail group may reproduce a set  for their membership on a specified volume basis.
